At RightWave, we\u2019ve already started helping our clients adapt to these changes so they\u2019re not caught off guard.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"730\">Here\u2019s a quick breakdown of what\u2019s changing\u2014and our take on what to do about it:<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"735\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"785\">1. <strong data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"785\">Marketo Engage Identity Is Going Away<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"1277\">\n<li data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"1012\">\n<p data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"1012\"><strong data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"809\">What&#8217;s happening:<\/strong> Starting <strong data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"834\">August 2025<\/strong>, Adobe will begin phasing out support for the legacy Marketo Engage Identity login (<code data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"938\">login.marketo.com<\/code>). By <strong data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"966\">September 30, 2025<\/strong>, all users must transition to Adobe Identity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1277\">\n<p data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1277\"><strong data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1033\">RightWave POV:<\/strong> This is not just a UI change\u2014Adobe Identity introduces new admin controls, user provisioning, and access governance. We recommend starting the transition early to ensure role-based access, SSO, and admin workflows are all configured correctly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1282\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1343\">2. <strong data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1343\">IP-Based Login Restrictions Are Being Deprecated<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1758\">\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1511\">\n<p data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1511\"><strong data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1367\">What&#8217;s happening:<\/strong> Support ends <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1398\">July 30, 2025<\/strong>, and is replaced by <strong data-start=\"1419\" data-end=\"1452\">location-based access control<\/strong> via the Adobe Admin Console (targeted for August release).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1758\">\n<p data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1758\"><strong data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1532\">RightWave POV:<\/strong> If your compliance team relies on IP-based restrictions, now\u2019s the time to evaluate the Adobe Admin Console\u2019s location controls. Expect a learning curve and plan a phased rollout with stakeholder input from IT\/security teams.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1760\" data-end=\"1763\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"1816\">3. <strong data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1816\">SSO for Marketo Identity Is Being Sunset<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"2225\">\n<li data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"1992\">\n<p data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1992\"><strong data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1840\">What&#8217;s happening:<\/strong> Marketo Identity SSO support ends <strong data-start=\"1875\" data-end=\"1892\">July 30, 2025<\/strong>. Users must move to <strong data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"1935\">Adobe Identity SSO<\/strong>, which requires fresh setup via the Adobe Admin Console.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2225\">\n<p data-start=\"1995\" data-end=\"2225\"><strong data-start=\"1995\" data-end=\"2013\">RightWave POV:<\/strong> We advise customers not to treat this as a \u201clift and shift.\u201d Re-audit your SSO configuration, user groups, and MFA policies while you&#8217;re at it. Our MOPS and IT teams can help with seamless migration and testing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2227\" data-end=\"2230\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2232\" data-end=\"2287\">4. <strong data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2287\">access_token in REST API Calls Is Deprecated<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"2288\" data-end=\"2721\">\n<li data-start=\"2288\" data-end=\"2488\">\n<p data-start=\"2290\" data-end=\"2488\"><strong data-start=\"2290\" data-end=\"2311\">What&#8217;s happening:<\/strong> The <code data-start=\"2316\" data-end=\"2330\">access_token<\/code> as a <strong data-start=\"2336\" data-end=\"2355\">query parameter<\/strong> in REST API calls will be <strong data-start=\"2382\" data-end=\"2419\">deprecated after October 31, 2025<\/strong>. Authentication must now use the <code data-start=\"2453\" data-end=\"2468\">Authorization<\/code> <strong data-start=\"2469\" data-end=\"2479\">header<\/strong> instead.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2489\" data-end=\"2721\">\n<p data-start=\"2491\" data-end=\"2721\"><strong data-start=\"2491\" data-end=\"2509\">RightWave POV:<\/strong> This is a small change with big consequences if missed. We\u2019ve seen clients with dozens of legacy API scripts that need to be updated. Time to audit every integration and refactor your calls using the new method.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2723\" data-end=\"2726\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2728\" data-end=\"2764\">5. <strong data-start=\"2735\" data-end=\"2764\">SOAP API Is Being Retired<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"2765\" data-end=\"3105\">\n<li data-start=\"2765\" data-end=\"2840\">\n<p data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"2840\"><strong data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"2788\">What&#8217;s happening:<\/strong> Support for the <strong data-start=\"2805\" data-end=\"2839\">SOAP API ends October 31, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2841\" data-end=\"3105\">\n<p data-start=\"2843\" data-end=\"3105\"><strong data-start=\"2843\" data-end=\"2861\">RightWave POV:<\/strong> If you\u2019re still using SOAP, you\u2019re overdue for modernization.
